I’m Carol, and I am the founder of the Fidose of Reality blog.
Created in 2009, I created Fidose of Reality to cut through all the online nonsense and jibberish about dogs.
This is a reality-based blog backed by expert interviews, years of experience, and a life dedicated to dogs.
I cover caring for your Cocker Spaniel (and their canine friends) in these modern times. The health and wellness of dogs include their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Who Am I?
A dog lover of the highest order is how Gayle King introduced me when I appeared on Oprah Radio with my Cocker Spaniel, Dexter.
I’ve spent the past nearly two decades working in the pet industry. Dogs are my co-workers and life’s purpose. Someone has to give them a reality-based voice. That’s where I come in.
I’ve been published in dog magazines online and in print, and I am the Past President of the Dog Writer’s Association of America.
I advocate for dogs, and Cocker Spaniels are in my soul. Google ‘Carol Bryant dogs’ to see.
Why Cocker Spaniels?
I fell in love with Cocker Spaniels as a little girl after seeing one in “The Big Book of Dogs.” She had a flower in her hair, gently positioned right behind her ear. I wanted one.
Dogs are more like us than not, but they are not humans. Dogs are the best of us when the worst of us breaks our hearts and lets us down.
I embrace a passion for dogs, and that passion somehow, in this crazy, messed-up universe, so very perfectly found its way to me. A little girl once lost found her forever home in dogs.
What’s your why when it comes to dogs? I’d love to know. My email is email@example.com. Drop me a line so I can get to know you, too.
