What is a Sam’s Yam?

I read the labels of dog food and dog treats with the scrutiny of an Encyclopedia Brown book. So here’s the scoop on what’s in Sam’s Yams. There is no wheat gluten in any of the Sam’s Yams products: Hurrah!

Sizes and Varieties

Sam’s Yams offers three different packages and a variety of sizes in their dog treats. From Veggie “Rawhide” (even though they are not traditional rawhide at all) to Big Boyz Sweet Potato Dog Chewz to Bichon Fries for smaller dogs, the variety is there.

Pricing is comparable and the chews take the dogs a bit longer to break up and munch upon, so you get your dollar’s worth.

You can read all about our take on Sam’s Yam’s and our taste testers in action here.

Open to residents in the United States and Canada.

Here’s how to enter: CONTEST CLOSED: WINNER IS MEG OF CAROL SUE:

Shiner loves Sam’s Yams! We’ll pass on entering this fabulous giveaway as she has a lot of their treats already.

  2. Caren Gittleman says

We also will pass because we were one of the first (yep, we were!) to review them a few months ago, but we wanted to say HOW FANTASTIC they are. Dakota LOVES THEM! Good luck to all who enter, it is a great prize!!

  3. Catherine Armato says

My dogs Isis and Phoebe LIVE for all things Yam so we’ll definitely be entering the contest. Sometimes we order sweet potato fries instead of regular fries just so we can bring some home for the dogs. These are clearly healthier than restaurant fries. Thanks!
