Wigglebutt Wedding Bridal Party Revealed

When my fellow Wigglebutt Warrior team members, Val Sorensen and Darlene Bryant, sat with me in the summer of 2012 and we developed the idea for a dog wedding to benefit Life's Little Paws Cocker Spaniel rescue group, we never could have imagined the exposure, labor of love, fun of fundraising, and sense of helping animals in need that would result. The Wigglebutt Wedding has been a dream come true.

And this is just the beginning for us. Together we will host a yearly gala fun-draiser in the name of dogs and to give back. Our two groups that have been selected as recipients of funds raised from our 2014 gala are: Vested Interest in K9's and Oldies But Goodies Cocker Spaniel Rescue. We will be making a major announcement within 2 weeks about our next fun-draiser location and theme and cannot wait to share that news.

In the meantime, here are photos of the lovely bridal party in dog clothing from Spoiled Pup Boutique along with the bride and groom, who are wearing custom dog couture from Anthony Rubio, canine couturier.

Abby, the maid of honor, who is a nearly 17 years young Cocker Spaniel who is visually impaired, wearing a dress from Careen Kiely.
Buster, who traveled with his family from Oklahoma via car, escorted Abby down teh aisle. He is visually impaired but sees with his heart.
Moxie, one of the groomsmen.
Ricky, the best man, and Dexter's brother.
McGee, brother of Dexter, and one of the groomsmen
Zola, the flower girl, and Dexter's BFF
Justin, ring bearer
Patches, half brother to Dexter, and one of the groomsmen
Poppy, who traveled all the way by car from California with her mom to be here!
Holly, who was one of the bridesmaids
Zoe, the bride with proud dog mom, Val Sorensen, and Dexter, the groom, with proud dog mom, Carol Bryant

Since it is Wordless Wednesday, here are some our blogging friends who no doubt love to share their pets' images, too!

What a lovely wedding! I love that you had dogs travel so far to be there! Oklahoma, no less, where I live! The only thing that could have been better (not for y’all, but because my brain thinks this way) would have been a Newfoundland as the ring BEAR. Heh. But a Newfie isn’t a Cocker Spaniel.

Y’all really did blow this wedding away. It’s amazing!
