Fidose of Reality is a blog where dog lovers of the highest order unite.™

What makes this blog different and why you should sniff around and bookmark us? We feature Rover-ing reporter “DexMarksHisSpot” with dog travels, dog health and wellness, dog news and featured Fidos. All the bark, nary a bite, dogs to the max. Our heart beats dog and we wag for those who gush with us, canine style.

Civilized humans and their canine companions, family members and friends are encouraged to sniff out our topics, engage in bark and banter, and be the person your dog thinks you are. A little bit about Fidose of Reality’s blog guru (aka: me): I am was the Social Media and PR Director of  FIDO Friendly magazine, where I also maintain their blog and am a lead writer. I am a frequent media contributor, having appeared on Animal Radio and Oprah Radio’s Gayle King Show, WBAL-TV, News12CT, and appearances as a guest speaker at conferences and seminars about dogs and dog travel. I am also a two-time nominee from the Dog Writers Association of America. (I like to talk and write)

Why dogs? Candy ignited my passion for dogs, their rights and to give them a voice. Candy dealt with things no 18-pound Dachsund should ever face. In a sense, so did I. As a child, I couldn’t do much for her other than comfort and love, but as an adult I can bark loudly in her name and for all dogs. That, at my core, is who I am: A voice for dogs.

While this is an inaugural post to a new dog blog, my writing history is a long and winding road. If you find something informative and tell a friend or help a dog because you read about their plight here, then I’m doing my job: Spreading the word of dog.

Oh, and I’m also writing a book or two, so keep an eye and a paw out on publication row.
