Uggie Retires and Leaves Pawprints in Hollywood Cement

Legendary canine star, Uggie, who was in the Oscar-award winning movie, The Artist, cemented his pawprints recently outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Uggie is the first dog in film industry history to leave his paws behind at the Hollywood trademark. Fidose of Reality had the honor of meeting Uggie recently at the Betty White Friars Club Roast in New York, where we scooped an exclusive interview (below) with his owner and trainer, Omar von Muller.

The proud owner shared recently, “Everyone says that I’m a great trainer, I don’t think so, I think he’s just a great dog. He’s adopted. If he made it, you guys can adopt a dog, and even if he doesn’t make it on the big screen he’ll be the star in your house.”

Uggie is a scene and heart stealer, having garnered the Palm Dog Award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. He was also awarded with a Golden Collar Award earlier this year. In addition to starring in The Artist, Uggie also appeared with Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon in the movie, Water For Elephants.
