  1. LOVE this and in fact, I’ve had a similar post sitting in my drafts for a while. I’ve loved the Benji movies since I was a kid. I still haven’t seen Because of Winn-Dixie – I may check that one out today!

  2. I was going to say that you didn’t choose my favorite, because I can’t stand dog movies. They are always so sad. But I love Turner & Hooch. Another good one, but I won’t watch it (tears) is Fox and the Hound.

    1. I can’t watch many dog movies because they end so danged sad – same thing with some dog books. However, I tried to do a variety of movies. Glad I hit on one you liked, Kimberly.

  3. I’m never sure if it counts as a dog movie because the heroine says “it’s a wolf” but I love ‘The Journey of Natty Gann.’ That movie is why I will never go anywhere without a canine by my side!

  4. We know someone who has Black Russian Terriers like Vlad that also has a couple of Berger Picards like Winn Dixie. It seems strange to us that people think that WD is a Heinz 57 breed. That’s one of our favorite dog movies.

  5. Seen and love them all! Hard to say which is my favorite. I like “All Dogs go to Heaven” too. “Eight Below” is cute. The “Dogs & Cats” movies are hilarious.
