Pet Friendly Hotel Andaluz Is A Plus

dog hotel

Hotel Andaluz is an Albuquerque pet-friendly hotel which welcomes dogs of all sizes. They had us at welcomes dogs of all sizes.*

While touring with the 2014 Fidose Across America dog-friendly tour of the United States, one of our stops was Albuquerque, New Mexico. We chose this town because we are fans of the popular television show, Breaking Bad, and the show was filmed right in Albuquerque (ABQ). Read all about our Breaking Bad pet-friendly trolley tour experience here.

Hotel Andaluz is located right in the heart of downtown ABQ, and Andaluz is the short form of Andalucia, the Spanish region which inspired the interior style and architecture of the hotel.

As recipients of the AAA Four Diamond Award, they are one of only a few properties in ABQ with this distinction. It is both pet friendly and quite literally the epicenter of ABQ.

We bet some of these pet lovers would love a getaway to Hotel Andaluz:

Carol created and owns the trademark, My Heart Beats Dog® and lives that mantra. What an adorable picture!! Sounds like a great hotel and in one of my most favorite states!! Actually, I am in love with Santa Fe and Taos!! Happy WW.

I love to see pet friendly hotels, especially those we would want to stay at as humans. I do think as pet owners there is much we can do to encourage this practice through our own interactions with hotel staff and the behavior of our pets when we do find an establishment that is pet friendly.

There are always risks involved when they invite our animals in, if we can make it financially rewarding and demonstrate that our pets can be good guests, we have the potential to open more market places. Sadly, it only takes a few bad guests to close the doors for the rest of us.

That looks like such fun! I haven’t been to Albuquerque since I was a kid. It might be time to visit and take the pups.

  4. Jen K says

Love when a place is actually pet friendly and not just “pet tolerant”. I’ll happily pay fees, but we get eliminated whenever there’s a size limit and it’s beyond frustrating.

This is so cool! We will be heading out to ABQ in just a few weeks to explore! Unfortunately the pups can’t join us on this trip but its always great to hear of dog friendly hotels and things to do!
