We came, we saw, we roamed, we conquered the dog trends. At Global Pet Expo, more than 1,000 companies from around the world showcase the latest and greatest products available for all types of pets including dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, small animals and horses. The Show features 13 football fields’ worth of pet products, more than 3,000 product-launches and 150 first-time exhibiting companies. Global Pet Expo is open to independent retailers, distributors, mass-market buyers, and other qualified media & professionals.
It takes place in Orlando, Florida, and Fidose of Reality scoured the show floor and here are some of the emerging trends and dog products. There are clickable links for more and links to shop for these dog products, too:
I am Carol and I absolutely adore dog pajamas. Anyone who has followed our social media accounts knows that our dog, Dexter, is often seen sporting a pair of what we call “man-jamas.” One of the brands that suits a stocky Cocker Spaniel is PetRageous. Dexter wears a size Large in the PetRageous Designs dog pajamas. Well lo and behold, their super soft doggy pajamas help to keep pet dander and hair off furniture and are functional after bath, in cooler months, for photo fun, and during times when the air conditioner is on and want your dog to have a layer of warmth. Check out some of the designs coming this fall and winter of 2017. Squee!

Hide Those Pills
Raise a paw if you dread giving your dog medication. I have designated my wife as the official pill dispenser to the dog in our household. I groom the dog but pill dispensing makes me nervous. We stopped for a demo of the coming-to-a-store-shelf-near-you product, Pillstashios. Both pills and dog mouths come in different sizes, and Pillstashios come in small and large. What caught our eye: Natural, gluten free, no cheap fillers. YAY! Here’s how it works:
Dog House Candles
During a media tour, we discovered One Fur All 100 percent soy candles for pet households. There are no dyes or petroleum by-products in them. We see a fair share of pet candles in our travels and we will not use anything that is not 100 percent soy. Our last apartment suffered the aftermath of years of burning paraffin (soot) candles. These candles contain an odor neutralizer and feature a variety of scents. Our favorite for a doggie household is the citrus blend. We are also swooning for the pumpkin spice car freshener. Yum! Always keep candles away from wagging tails and prying paws.

Black and Whites
Nomtastic snacks for dogs are here with a low-calorie, chia-filled punch. We are long-time fans and customers of the Einstein Pets dog treat line. Founder, Kelly Ison, calls the new Black and Whites treats “drool worthy,” and our dog, Dexter, concurs. Black and Whites are a low-calorie alternative to most doggie treats, great for training, sprinkling on top of food, and this dog blogger likes having them for a low-cal human treat, too! The only six ingredients in them are oat floar, carob powder, coconut, honey, vanilla, and Chia seed. We also love the Einstein Pets Cha-Cha Coconut.

Speaking of treats…of course you’ll want to take some treats with you for trips and on car rides so….
We always have a collapsible water bowl in our vehicle, the “mommy bag” and with us on longer walks. The Dexas Snack-DuO delivers both cool water and a crunchy snack for your dog when you are both on the go. It’s the first reusable bottle with two side-by-side chambers. Flip open the lid to dispense treats or kibble, then pop open the cap top to pour a cool drink of water in the attached collapsible cup.

No Hide Digestible Chews
I am not a fan of rawhide and I do not feed it to my dog. Though not new to the market, we discovered Earth Animal No-Hide digestible chews at Global Pet Expo. There is no rawhide in this product and it is a chew that is rolled out, made with fresh organic eggs and olive oil. It takes our dog a good 10 minutes to work through this snack. Since it has no chemicals, additives, or anything like bleach or formaldehyde, this was a find we happily purchased on our trip home.

Clothes for Dogs Who Hate Clothes
If you want your dog to dress up, wear something formal or sporty, and have fun doing so, as we hear about often from dog parents, imagine our glee in discovering Tail Trends bandanas for dogs. These are seriously unlike any doggie bandana we’ve seen. They also make Hair Bows, Kerchiefs, Tutus, Ties, and Bow Ties. Look at these oh-so-wagworthy upscale bandanas with a fab price to boot.
Our personal fave is the squirrel!

Dog Agility, Training, and Posing Platform
At the Women in the Pet Industry 2015 awards, I was the recipient of the Advocate of the Year. One of my prizes was The Klimb for dogs. It has become such a valuable tool in our dog training, exercising indoors, and photo shoots. At Global Pet Expo, we watched a Border Collie show us the various ways The Klimb can be used to condition and strengthen a dog, too. The coating is PawGrip™, a soft-touch coating that improves comfort and footing. It comes in different colors, and we have the black. You can even stack them!
Bonus Find: Dog Is Smarter than the President
This is an adorable find I discovered on Etsy and have on order as a birthday surprise for someone. Aside from the fact that it is stinkin’ cute, it is a conversation piece with dog lovers!
