Hope Seeking Forever Home: Dog of the Week. As we head into a weekend, for this week’s Featured Fido, we are spotlighting Hope. Hope is a word that, according to Merriam Webster, means, “to want something to happen or be true and think that it could happen or be true.”
Hope wants to find a forever home to love her and give her the life she deserves; perhaps that home is yours. Here’s the scoop:
Our friends at NYC Second Chance Rescue are currently fostering Hope. They tell us before SCR rescued her she suffered severe wounds (the scars suggested she was burned and whipped) and her liver tested positive for poisoning. Despite this, she is an AWESOME dog and loves life! She is the kind of pup who wants to snuggle and play and can keep herself entertained with a toy. She’s been around kids over 12 and does great (she has seen younger children in the park but hasn’t been off leash around them). She’s 2-3, housebroken, maybe about 45-50 lbs and VERY friendly/social. She has been living with an incredible foster mom, but in a few weeks her landlord will be back in the country and she will get in some serious trouble if she is caught with a dog in the building, so we need to find somewhere for Hope to go ASAP… and ideally a permanent home. Hope can be dog selective. If you have room in your home for Hope please fill out an app by clicking on this link for Hope.
