Yum, homemade banana dog treat time! When it comes to cooking, Carol Can’t Cook. I want to make healthy desserts to give my dog, but some things are just not meant to be. I love bananas and want my dog to snack on banana infused dog treats, too. For those who have been following the Fidose of Reality blog for any length of time, you know that I pretty much can burn water. I was even considering being on the television show, Worst Cooks in America.
Where there is a will, there’s a way. In honor of our dear friend, Sugar the Golden Retriever, we are dedicated this post with our deepest condolences, utmost respect, and forever love to her mom, Rosalyn. Sugar loved bananas and was always sharing a favorite banana treat on her blog.
Here is a collection of homemade banana dog treat goodies that you can do at home and give to your dog. Keep in mind: Bananas contain fruit sugar, so everything in moderation, including bananas. You don’t want to spike your dog’s insulin levels from over feeding bananas and/or banana-flavored treat.
Bananas With Yonanas
This is as easy as it gets, dog lovers. Yonanas combines frozen bananas and any additional fruit (or chocolate for the humans) through it’s core and churns out an oh-so-good non-dairy treat that people can share with dogs. Rather than tell you, here’s our video demonstration from our first attempt:
