SMARTCOOKEE® is like happiness in a bag. More than an average dog treat, it’s part of a healthy routine that ensures a dose of the good stuff dogs need! Can you imagine, then, a dog treat that contains chia seed and feature flavors that are fun, healthy, and oh so delectable? Their treats contain chia seeds.

WE HAVE A WINNER FOR THE GRAND PRIZE AND THE TWO RUNNER UP PRIZES!!!

Grand prize of the SMARTCOOKEE® bag of nom nom swag is Carolyn Love, whose random tweet was drawn – congrats

Winners of a copy of Dog Bites with Steve Brooks are:

Sandy Weinstein

and

Cathy Armato

Chia seeds have some incredible effects on health, both for humans and animals. Though they appear small and unassuming, these seeds contain large quantities of protein, five times the calcium of milk, boron (a trace mineral that aids in the absorption of calcium into the bones), Omega oils 3 and 6, and can help regulate blood sugar levels and aid in maintaining a healthy weight. The seeds of chia plants can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels and blood pressure, and reduce risk of heart disease.

Seeds are odorless and flavorless, so you won’t have to worry if a discriminating dog shares your life. I can relate, a finicky pooch owns my heart. We reviewed SMARTCOOKEE treats here. Check it out!

Dexter loves these!

But wait, there’s more!!!

Celebrity dog trainer to the stars, Steve Brooks, is giving away TWO copies of his brand new book, DOG BITES with Steve Brooks. Steve uses food as an effective training tool. In this book, you will discover what is safe and unsafe to feed your dog while learning how to modify your favorite meals to share with your pup! While Steve cooks recipes from Organic Turkey Meatballs, Sweet Pup-Tato Fries to Chicken Pup-Pie, he shares what is safe and delicious for canine consumption. He also demonstrates the health benefits and dangers of many human foods. We interviewed Steve here. Check it out!

  8. Lisa Cox says

My dogs love carrots. I do have one dachshund that goes nuts over bananas. He can be asleep and as soon as you pop that peel, he’s at your feet begging.

  9. Sherry Conrad says

Besides the most expensive shoes they come across? I’d have to say overall they like some jerky type things we found for them at TJ Maxx. They are in a treat jar at the moment, but the packaging is distinctive so I will know when I find them again. 😀

  10. Deb says

Vida loves The Great Pumpkin SmartCookee Treats. I checked out the ingredients and noticed “human grade ingredients” and tried them myself. Yeah, they’re pretty tasty!

  11. Karen says

Peanut butter flavored grain-free doggie treats. Bentley, my English Bulldog, starts to drool when he sees the box! Milo, my Cocker Spaniel, is a true wigglebutton button but tries really hard to sit and nicely! He likes he could just explode!

  12. Darlene Schuller says

Right now any kind of fresh fruit makes him so excited, I try not to give him too much, but, it’s hard not to indulge the sweetness.

My pack of seven rescued dogs love all kinds of treats! I sometimes make yogurt, honey and fruit frozen treats that they can all have (Lumpy has food allergies) and they LOVE them! Thank you!

  14. Ruth Cox says

At present, my dog Valentino’s favorite treat is a frozen KONG toy filled with peanut butter, yogurt, and cranberries, but I betcha he would enjoy SMARTCOOKEEs too!

  15. Jen Hodges says

My two dogs’ favorite treats are chicken jerky and pork jerky. 🙂

Oh, and they loved the salmon treats that I bought from my recent trip to Portland, Maine.

Bub likes tennis balls. He gets them every year for Christmas. At the end of the year the sleeve of them is all chewed up and he needs another.

  17. Suzanne R (SuzySweeps) says

Our dog loves anything DUCK – she can smell it a mile away – and won’t leave us alone until we give her a duck treat… but that doesn’t fool anyone… any treats are just fine with her! 🙂
