By now many of you have heard the news, but if not, my dog is getting married for a major fundraiser to help Life’s Little Paws save more dogs’ lives. I even wrote about it for Dogster magazine AND we have an official hashtag at #WigglebuttWedding on Twitter.
You can get up to speed by visiting Wigglebutt Wedding News.
We also have a major announcement to make: Our sponsor list is growing and we are pleased to announce that we have commissioned Missy Johnson, aka Rembrandt for Rovers and founder of Dogs for the Paws, as the official artist of the Wigglebutt Wedding!!! We dubbed Missy the Rembrandt for Rovers due to the way her artwork affects all us dog lovers. You will fall in love with her designs as we did.
What does this mean? Missy will be painting and designing the official graphic that will be used in all materials related to the wedding. We will also be displaying the finished artwork at the Wigglebutt Wedding taking place in Stanford, Connecticut, on June 30, 2013. Media is covering it and we plan to be the biggest Cocker rescue fundraiser in history.
One lucky Fidose of Reality fan will win a signed print of the finished product from Missy Johnson and Dogs for the Paws!!
If you don’t know Dogs for the Paws and Missy Johnson, you should. Her work is breathtaking and she does a LOT to help dogs in need. She was a Fidose of Reality “Paw-er Woman” and you can read more about her here. Be sure to check out her Facebook page and website for your own piece of paw-tastic artwork and goodies.
What else? From now through February 13, 2013, Fidose of Reality (the groom) and Kiss the Chef Catering (the bride) will be blogging about the Cockers’ dating, adventures, escapades, and wedding planning fun between Dexter and Zoe. The happy couple will be wed on June 30, 2013.
Then on February 14, 2013, the Fidose of Reality Wigglebutt Wedding Contest begins. Two grand prizes winners will have the opportunity to have their dogs participate in the wedding PLUS win a swag basket valued at several hundred dollars each for their dog. Two runners up will get swag for their dogs. The contest runs for two months and the wedding is on June 30, 2013.
In July, Pet Talk News12CT is dedicating an entire half hour to the wedding, complete with wedding footage, guests in fancy attire, designer gown and tux courtesy of Anthony Rubio, sponsor and product demos, cockers in need of homes, a special cooking session with mother of the bride, Val Sorensen, and more!! For those who can’t make it to the wedding in Connecticut, you can watch the show AND we will be posting it online via YouTube for all of our fur-ends worldwide to enjoy.
Why are our dogs getting married? To fundraise! More to follow on how you can get involved and share in the happy couple’s puptuials. Join us in celebrating that we have commissioned dog artist, Missy Johnson!
