Cat Mom Needs Dog Help for #NationalDogDay

cocker spaniel

Can each of you give $5 today because you love dogs and want to help a pooch in need? Pet lovers are all connected in some way, shape, or form on #NationalDogDay: No matter what pet you love or what you call that pet, we’re connected. When cat mom/cat blogger, Robin Olson of Covered in Cat contacted me about helping a dog in need, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. We are connected, I thought to myself….all of us in some way, shape, or form. So happy #NationalDogDay to you, Robin Olson, for reaching out to help not just any dog in need, but a Cocker Spaniel….near and dear to my heart.

Imagine being a puppy, being hit by a car, and your owners decide they either don’t want you, can’t afford it, one of these, or both of these. Enter Robin Olson.

“I just got home from the ER Vet. One of our foster kittens broke her leg last night The reason I’m writing is that while I was at the Vet they told me about an 11-month old Cocker Spaniel who was hit by a car. Their owners gave her up to a Cocker Spaniel rescue but now they are having a tough time raising money FAST because this dog has a broken pelvis and needs surgery ASAP. They’ve got about $1600 but need $4500. Do you know any Cocker Spaniel Rescues or Breed Groups that we could contact about helping us get the word out or helping us raise funds or both? I don’t know where else to turn but I hope that maybe you might have some thoughts to share? Thank you for your time!! Take care, Robin”

Why yes, awesome cat mom who does tons for cats in need….of course I can share this urgent plea, especially on #NationalDogDay.

Who wants to help us get this innocent Cocker the care and attention he needs?

Thankfully, our friends at Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue are caring for the dog and asking for funds on his behalf. His owners requested he be euthanized. If all Fidose fans give $5 a piece, we can rock this little boy’s world in a very good way!

OMG, this baby looks just like our precious Pepper. Thanks for sharing, Carol! Made a donation for Lil Jay. So glad Abandoned Angels is giving him this second chance!
