The glam and glitz and progress of Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof is taking hold. Even though the pet-friendly gala event takes place in September of 2014, the surprises, ticket sales, and hotel room bookings are soaring. All of this, of course, is in the name of “fund-raising” fun to benefit two paw-tastic groups:
Amidst all the raising of cash in the name of dog, of course, the humans and their pooches (and cat) in attendance are there to have fun. And fun we shall have.
Hollywoof Spotlight Announcement
In addition to all of the surprises, fun, and excitement all guests will receive and experience, we are proud to announce that miniature pet artist, Lucy Maloney, will be awarding a very special gift prize to one lucky Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof attendee!!!
An artist working with the sculpture of animals, mostly dogs and cats, one lucky attendee will have an exact replica of their dog made personally by Lucy Maloney. For those unfamiliar with her work, Maloney made her first “official” piece of art in 1997. “I have been interested in making dog models since I played with Barbie in the late ’50s. My Barbie had many dogs in her home,” she says.
So how does someone make the leap from dog passion (as millions of us have) to creating closest-thing-to-life-I’ve-ever-seen miniatures? Her late beloved dog, Ted, a Cairn Terrier, sparked her flame. Maloney tried to create an ornament that looked like Ted, using yarn in a wrapped fashion. She loved the result and started making a replica of her parents’ late dog. Using some of her own dog’s hair, Maloney produced a piece so real, her parents were overjoyed. A career was born.
Lucy made an exact replica of my dog, Brandy, and she is the artist responsible for crafting exact miniature replicas of both Dexter, and his dog wife, Zoe, for the Wigglebutt Wedding fund-raiser. Here are pictures to show you how detailed Maloney’s work is:
All attendees of the Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof event will have the opportunity to win a one-on-one, once-in-a-lifetime exact replica of your dog (or cat). Lucy will work closely with you to get the details just right, and trust me: She is very dedicated to her craft and truly gets the love and bond between pet parent and pet.
How Can You Be Eligible To Win?
All attendees of the Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof gala event on September 14, 2014, are eligible. One lucky winner will be selected at random during the “Wiggy” Awards that evening. Must be present to win.
Does the dog or cat have to be present? No. If you win and want to have a dog or cat you’ve loved and lost be the inspiration for the piece, the choice is yours.
Lucy plans to be with us at the gala event, so you can meet this dynamo in person, too!

Tickets are first come, first serve, and guests must pay a $5 fee for each pet you plan to bring. We will cap the guest list and pets allowed list, so the sooner you reserve your spot the better.
